# Introduction

To get started with Resend, you'll need:

1. Your own domain, [verified with Resend](https://resend.com/docs/add-a-domain.md)
2. [A Resend API key](https://resend.com/docs/create-an-api-key.md)

Then, you'll be ready to send [both types of emails](https://resend.com/docs/explore-sending-features.md):

* **Transactional emails:** personalized, event-driven communication
* **Marketing campaigns:** bulk email Broadcasts distributed to a contact list
